Today’s visit to was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when vision, leadership, and innovation align in rural education.
I had the opportunity to engage with district and school leaders who are truly delivering a world-class education for students in rural Georgia. From meaningful conversations around curriculum design, discipline policies, and leadership systems—to experiencing the student environment firsthand—this was a day rooted in both strategy and impact.
And yes… I fully immersed myself in the student experience:
🚜 Drove a virtual tractor at the high school
🛝 Took a trip down the indoor slide
🏫 Even got to choose a “House” at the middle school-
But beyond the fun, the most fulfilling part of the day was witnessing authentic student engagement in action. Students were not just present, they were invested, empowered, and thriving in environments intentionally designed for them.
I left inspired and energized and already thinking ahead. I can’t wait to bring rural leaders from Louisiana to Metter Schools to see this work up close. There is so much we can learn, replicate, and scale for our communities.
Rural schools are not behind— they are leading.
Thank you ✨
