During the 2025-26 school year, the percentage of EBR Schools students in kindergarten through third grade reading on or above grade level increased from 48% to 62% — a 14-point gain and the highest early literacy performance on record for our district.

Even more impressive, kindergarten students posted a 28-point increase, rising from 36% to 64% reading on or above grade level by the end of the year.

Louisiana Public Montessori School Chosen as a Top Magnet School in Nationwide Roundup Belfair Montessori Magnet in Baton Rouge was chosen as a top Magnet school in the state. Belfair's home district was lauded as well.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2026 at The Dufrocq School was filled with gratitude, joy and lots of smiles. Learning gets messy sometimes just like a surprise Barbecue meal from All-Star Catering. So thanks Huggies and PTO Today for providing free packs of wipes to our teachers this week as they enjoyed an array of mouthwatering delights. 💖
