I am super proud of my tutoring students this year (and every year!) 🎉I had seven kids from three different high schools, all in Spanish 2. Almost all of them were consistently earning D’s & F’s when I started working with them, and most were not at all sure how they would make it through their Spanish requirement. But they all met with me consistently and worked hard, and they made TREMENDOUS progress. I have heard final grades from all but one. They finished with A’s, B’s and C’s. But I wish you could see the meaning behind those final semester grades. Cumulative language exams can be TOUGH. It’s just so much, especially when you have been trying to catch up all year (and didn’t have a strong foundation in Spanish 1, which is usually the problem) and then you have to keep it ALL straight ALL at once. But these kids went from rarely (some never) passing chapter tests to earning A’s, B’s & C’s in a very short time. Most had A’s & B’s for quarter grades by the end of the year. Congratulations to them!!! 👏👏👏
