Honoring Bro. Dr. Gary Simon - 50 Years of Service and Uplift.
We proudly honor Bro. Dr. Gary Simon for 50 years of unwavering service, leadership, and uplift to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the communities he so faithfully served.
Initiated through the Lambda Alpha Chapter in 1975, Bro. Dr. Simon was a trailblazer in the advancement of Black Greek-letter organizations at Louisiana State University. Alongside twelve other visionary men, he helped lead the charge that culminated in the chartering of the Theta Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in 1977, establishing a lasting Omega presence on the LSU campus.
His commitment to Omega continued throughout his life. Bro. Dr. Simon would later become instrumental in chartering the Epsilon Lambda Lambda Chapter in Opelousas, Louisiana, further extending the Fraternity's legacy of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift throughout the community.
For five decades, Bro. Dr. Simon remained active, steadfast, and committed to the principles he pledged to uphold. He did not merely speak the Creed-he lived it through his leadership, service, mentorship, and devotion to Omega.
Though he has recently transitioned into Omega Chapter, his influence remains firmly woven into the history of the chapters he helped establish, the Brothers he inspired, and the communities he uplifted.
Bro. Dr. Gary Simon's 50 years of service represent a remarkable legacy of vision, perseverance, leadership, and unwavering devotion to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
His labor is complete, but his legacy lives on.
