This Sunday, our EOC program had the honor of attending the Impact Upward Bound Senior Banquet, celebrating graduating seniors from Baker High School and Belaire High School. Held at the River Center Library downtown, the atmosphere and views made the evening even more special.
It was truly inspiring to hear the students share their accomplishments, personal stories, and dreams for the future. Being present to celebrate such a pivotal milestone in their lives was incredibly meaningful.
Wishing each of these seniors continued success as they step into their next chapter!

The TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) program at BRCC recently attended the third annual Volunteers of America Bingo/Resource Fair, hosted at the American Legion Post 38 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This event brings together veterans, their families, and members of the community to connect with valuable resources and learn more about the benefits available to support them.
This is always one of our most anticipated events of the year, and we truly enjoy being a part of it. From the exciting bingo games to the many raffle prizes and winners, the atmosphere was amazing from start to finish.
A huge thank you to Volunteers of America for continuing to invite us and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful and impactful event.

Last week, we had the honor of being invited by LCTC to attend the annual “Game On for Giving”Empower 225 Gala, held at the beautiful Tiger Stadium Club. The atmosphere was nothing short of amazing. Watching the sunset over the stadium just set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
The night included exciting live auction bids and the energy in the room was powerful. We are so grateful to LCTC for including us in such a meaningful event. Empower 225 continues to do impactful work for the youth in our community, and it was inspiring to see so many people come together in support of that mission.
This year’s theme, Game Day Chic, brought out everyone’s school spirit in the best way, repping their favorite teams in style. And to top it all off, the gala raised over $200,000 in support of Empower 225.
