A little library shortcut for your next study session: you can now check out books at the first-floor Info Desk!

If you've found the book you need, there's no need to head upstairs just to check it out. Bring your books to the first-floor desk, and we'll get you on your way.

The second-floor checkout desk is still available too, so you can use whichever location is more convenient.

We’re so grateful to Vicki and Kate for helping us continue to learn and think more intentionally about how we can make the Libraries more accessible to everyone!

Taylor Porter Labor and Employment Practice Group Leader Vicki Crochet and her daughter, Kate Cusimano, LSU Library Digital Processing Archivist, recently presented “Signs, Signs Everywhere a Sign: An Introduction to Deaf Culture and ASL” to LSU Library staff.
 
Drawing on both professional and personal experience, Vicki and Kate shared insights about Deaf culture, American Sign Language (ASL), and accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
 
Thank you to the LSU Library for the opportunity to participate in this important conversation about accessibility, communication, and inclusion.
