🎉 Baker High School Back-to-School Bash! 🎉

Baker High School students kicked off the new school year with a fun-filled back-to-school bash as they settled into the first semester.

Students gathered in the parking lot to enjoy food trucks and sweet treats while making the most of the summer heat. 🍧🚚

The fun continued with a special guest performance by Louisiana artist Tweeday Toobig, giving students an exciting way to celebrate the start of a new school year. 🎶🔥

CONNECTING WITH AEROSPACE PROFESSIONALS: Members of the Helix team recently attended the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) Conference in Chicago. The milestone gathering welcomed more than 4,000 pilots, flight attendants, air traffic controllers, aircraft maintenance technicians and other aerospace professionals.

Representing Helix were Ezzie Smith, a flight instructor at Helix Aviation Academy; Cedric Grimes, an airline pilot and Director of Aviation for Helix Aviation Academy; Trey Castille, Director of Innovation for Helix Community Schools, and Michelle McCalope, Director of Development and Public Relations for Helix Community Schools. The team participated in the conference, connecting with aerospace leaders from across the nation to bring back resources and opportunities for our students.

It was a great conference and great networking!
