Civic Sips last week was perfection! 🍷✨What an amazing time discussing the importance of community and why joining a club matters now more than ever. Thank you to everyone that attended and special thanks to Join or Die for helping us spread Robert Putnam’s research and making the evening even more impactful. Keep in the loop for the next Civic Sips.

What an incredible John Breaux Symposium! This year’s event was a tremendous success, bringing together thoughtful voices and meaningful dialogue. We’re so grateful to our outstanding speakers for sharing their insights and engaging with our community.

At a time when differing ideas can feel polarizing, this year’s symposium showed the power of coming together to listen, learn, and exchange perspectives. As we approach the 250th anniversary of America, we are reminded that strong democracies depend on open, respectful dialogue, and we were proud to create that space!

Participation in local clubs and civic groups has declined for decades—and when we gather less, we understand each other less. At the next Civic Sips, PAR and the Reilly Center will use clips from the movie “Join or Die” to spark conversations about civic life, community and why joining a club might be part of the solution.
Join us for a drink, a bite and talk about how rebuilding civic life can help bridge divides and strengthen our communities.
