Welcome to B•Hive 🐝! We are so happy that you are here! We are beyond excited to share this journey with our family, friends and community! We very close to officially being a licensed child care in Bath! We have gone through our city inspection, State (DHHS) inspection and we will be having our State Fire Marshall inspection next week!

• At B•Hive we strive to provide a feeling of comfort and trust; a home away from home. We have a safe and fun place for children to be themselves which will give children the ability to thrive and grow. Our “hive” offers a cozy learning environment where imaginations soar through outdoor adventures, creative art projects, and playful activities. We celebrate each child's unique interests and needs, fostering a nurturing and educational space for all. Our first-floor “hive” promotes imagination and creativity. We highly encourage reading, sensory play, singing and dancing; a place where a kid can be a kid while growing and expanding their skills. Weekly themes such as the alphabet, numbers, animals, and holidays will be explored to support the children in this growth and expansion. Spending time outside will also play an important role in the daily experiences of the children at B•Hive. From vegetable and flower gardens to water tables and a slide set up. We encourage imaginative play but have tools and toys to aid in this. We are not afraid to get dirty and explore nature in our backyard. We are also close to the baseball fields, playground and walking trails for times we are looking for a change of scenery.
• B•Hive’s owner, Ms. Beka has always had a passion for working with children. Born and raised in Bath, and a proud graduate of Morse High School, I have always known that Bath is my home where I would settle and raise my family. After I received my Master’s of Science degree in Psychology, I felt that aiding children in learning and understanding themselves and the world around them was the path that I truly wanted to take. I believe as an early childhood educator it is my responsibility to care for every child who enters my program. Each child brings a unique set of abilities. I feel it is my job to help children reach their fullest potential. One of the ways children learn best is by peer interactions. As a family child care provider, I care for children of multi-ages and developmental stages. I value the experiences the children learn and teach to one another. I ensure children of different developmental stages have the opportunity to interact with one another every day. Inclusion practices are beneficial to all children. Children gain self-esteem when they know everyone is welcome and valued in the places in which they spend their time.
