Erin Chenard is a lyric soprano and voice teacher with 14 years teaching experience. Erin is a professional member of NATS, and has served on the voice faculty of the Portland Conservatory of Music, Bay Chamber Music School, and the University of Maine at Augusta. Erin’s voice students have successfully auditioned for District and All-State honors choruses as well as NATS song festivals, been cast

in musical theatre productions, and gained acceptance into college and university voice performance programs. Erin is a graduate of Westminster Choir College and the University of Southern Maine School of Music and holds an M.M. Erin sings professionally throughout Maine and New England. Mary Schola, an early music ensemble devoted to the performance of master works from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras. She has appeared as soloist with the Maine Pro Musica Orchestra, the Calderwood Consort, Music’s Quill, the Downeast Singers and Amethyst Chamber Ensemble; she sang in the Westminster Symphonic Choir in the New York Philharmonic’s 2006 broadcast of Handel’s Messiah and has appeared at the Boston and Portland Early Music Festivals. She made her Boston debut in 2008 at Jordan Hall in Yeomen of the Guard with the Bostonians Opera Company. Operatic roles include First Lady in The Magic Flute, Euridice in L’Orpheo and Phyllis in Iolanthe. Erin is also a founding member of the dance band Butterscotch Sock Hop.

To celebrate Watts Hall’s re-opening, our friends at the Watts Hall Community Players are proud to present "A Few of Our Favorite Things", an evening of one act plays followed by showtune karaoke at 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 11th!

You can expect to see the well-loved one acts “Sure Thing”, “Words Words Words”, and “Check Please.” Afterwards, audience members are invited to join in Showtune/Broadway karaoke. Belt out to your favorite songs from “Les Miz”, “Sound of Music”, “Wicked”, and more!

This event is FREE to attend, with donations to Watts Hall Community Players gladly accepted.

Meet the Artist! Come see Michael Albert in Circle of Sound this Saturday March 7th!

Michael Albert has served as an applied music associate at Colby college since 2007 teaching Oboe, Violin, Voice, and Mandolin. As an Oboist he performs in a variety of genres including Celtic, Baroque, and Jazz. He served as English Hornist with the Portland and Bangor Symphonies and has performed Baroque Violin, Baroque Oboe, Baroque Flute, and Recorders with Baroque Underground and Pacific Masterworks in Seattle, WA, and North Star Baroque and Aurora Camerata in Portland, ME as well as with other various ensembles in the Boston area. Michael performs Fiddle, Whistles, and Irish Flute with the Beggar Boys, and Jazz Oboe with Initial Ascent. He also subs as a Violist with various orchestras in his spare time. Michael regularly performs and composes music for the Celtic Eventide Service at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Cape Elizabeth, ME.

Meet the artist! Come see Molly Harmon, Soprano at Circle of Sound on March 7th!

Soprano Molly Harmon frequently performs as a soloist and chorister, singing with local organizations such as ChoralArt, Classical Uprising, and Aurora Camerata. She is excited to make her debut with New York-based Choral Chameleon this season. Some recent performance highlights include the role of Dido in Dido and Aeneas with Aurora Camerata, and as a featured soloist in the annual Christmas with Kennerley at Merrill Auditorium. She has also been a soloist in masterworks such Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. Molly’s main passion lies in ensemble singing and chamber music and she has been featured in several art song recitals with Amethyst Ensemble. She has also produced and performed in several recitals of her own featuring Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols and Eric Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs for soprano, violin, and piano. Molly resides in Portland where she has a growing voice studio.

Meet the Artist! Catch Bethany at Circle of Sound March 7th!

Bethany Perkins is a Portland based classical soprano and pianist. She teaches private lessons and group piano and voice classes for ages 5-105 at 317 Main Community Music Center in Yarmouth. Bethany is also the choir director and pianist/organist at New Brackett UU/UCC Church on Peaks Island. She can also be found singing or playing with the Opus One Big Band.
