In our last official role as the Class of 2024, we presented our class donation of checks to Finger Lakes SPCA, Inc. and Camp Good Days and Special Times Inc.

Our officers really wanted to use our remaining class money to benefit organizations in our area. After much consideration, they voted to give the SPCA one check to support their mission of taking care of animals. 🐾

The second check to Camp Good Days is important to all of us as it benefits children and their families who are dealing with cancer. We even got to tour the camp which was truly inspirational. πŸ’œ

We are so very proud of this class and have enjoyed guiding and supporting them through their high school years. We know they will all do great things!😍

We will miss you!

Hi Class of 2024 Graduates & Families!πŸŽ“

This is Mrs. Havens and I would like to start by congratulating all of you!🌟

It has taken me a little bit to sit down and write this as it has gone so fast and really doesn’t even seem real! I would just like to thank each and every one of you for your unique part in making this class so special. Not only was I lucky enough to be an advisor, but I was a parent involved with this class as well. This meant that I was able to provide guidance as a teacher and love to all as a Mom. It also meant that I had the privilege of watching most of you grow from primary school until now. I hope you are all so proud of your accomplisments, we definitely are! 😁

Thank you parents and guardians for sharing your children with us and supporting our many fundraisers and events. We look forward to cheering your children on from here! πŸ‘

Special thanks to my co-advisor (Colegrove) for taking on this adventure with me. I will never forget all of the amazing memories we made with this class. πŸ’– οΏΌ

The officers of the Class of 2024 have voted as to what to do with your remaining class funds. They felt it was important to keep the money local. On behalf of your class, Colegrove and I would like to let you know that a donation will be made to both the Fingerlakes SPCA and Camp Days Good Times. We will be sharing more on this later. 😍

Haverling Class of 2024, you may now be out the door, but you will always have a place in my heart. Please keep an eye out for a surprise coming to each of you in the mail from Colegrove and I.
Enjoy your summer and remember that all you truly need is already within you. πŸ’œ

A final note from Mrs. Colegrove: (warning - it’s a little long and sappy, but I promise you won’t see me get weepy with this one!! 🀣πŸ₯ΉπŸ€£)

To the seniors and families of the Class of 2024 - Over the last four years, we have had the privilege of working with and getting to know your student(s). It has been a privilege to help guide them in the many difficult choices and paths on their journey. These years are full of moments and memories we will cherish for years to come. Today after our graduation rehearsal, we had our last meal together and we passed out Hershey bars to all of the kids. I went on to share that when I was little, my Italian great grandmother always had anise candies and cookies on her table. It is the one true core memory that links me to my great grandmother. Everytime I smell black licorice, or have an anise cookie or pizzelle, I am reminded of all the memories we had made together. As a class, we have had some pretty sweet memories together; homecoming champions, winter ball, prom at the winery, fundraisers, concession stands, senior musical, senior trip, senior skip day to Hershey and so many moments in between. Our theme of β€œmake lots of memories” had high expectations and the kids definitely stepped up to the plate. These sweet moments turned to memories which will forever be imprinted on their heart. We would like to think that everytime each of you eat a Hershey bar, we want you to look back on those β€œsweet” memories - it could be an event, a teacher who went above and beyond, a coach, a mentor or a friend. Cherish those memories, as those are the only details you have left of this chapter of your story.
I am a firm believer that it takes a village to help raise successful, thoughtful, and productive humans. Thank you parents, for answering emails, phone calls, reminds and Facebook posts. Thank you for always stepping up when we asked for help - providing endless snacks and paper products for all of the crazy ideas we had. Our number one goal was to make sure that our class had the best. Our kids only get one high school experience, and we were determined to make sure it was the best. Was it perfect? Heck no! But we sure laughed a lot at our mistakes and learned from it. We tried to think of everything and stay organized - but sometimes it’s like herding cats… it’s impossible. Just know that we tried our very best.
Seniors - as this chapter of your story closes, I hope you took margin notes on the memories made, important events and lessons learned. Let these lessons guide you in your next chapter. Remember who you are and where you came from. I can confidently say that you will all do great things in your future. I am beyond proud of each and every one of you. Love you all sooo much!

You may have seen Mrs. Ortiz running around the gym last night during graduation. The class hired her to take photographs of our seniors so that you all could sit back and enjoy being in the moment. We didn’t want parents to have to worry about taking pictures from your seats. Inside each of your diploma envelopes you should find a β€œticket.” The QR on it will take you to the Photo & Typography website where you can download the pictures.
