Southside Schools is pleased to announce two leadership appointments for the 2026-2027 school year.
Please join us in welcoming Brad McGhee as Principal of Southside Charter High School and Mandy Blevins as Principal of Southside Intermediate School.
Mr. McGhee brings a strong commitment to student success and educational excellence as he begins this new role at Southside Charter High School. Mrs. Blevins, who has served as Assistant Principal at Southside Middle School, will now lead the reconfigured Intermediate campus as Principal, continuing her dedication to students, staff, and families.
We are excited for the future of both campuses and look forward to the leadership, vision, and enthusiasm these educators will bring to their new positions.

Today, SCHS students participated in a flag retirement ceremony.
Woodmen Life Chapter 15 collected flags from across Independence County that needed to be retired. Mr. Sturch’s government classes prepared the flags to burn, and local veterans helped with teaching the students the meaning and importance of respecting each part of the process.
Teaching the next generation how to respect our flag is important.
