Had a great time meeting and chatting with Gary Curtis Rausa-Augustin, '99, today! Living and working in Hawaii, Gary made a couple of stops in Arkansas on his way to Kansas City to catch some World Cup action. This was his first visit to Lyon in 27 years(!), and he was excited to see how campus has changed and how it has stayed the same; he was also glad to see that Hardee's wasn't the only option in town anymore.
Good to meet you, Gary!

The Lyon Alumni & Friends Book Club will have one meeting this summer, and we will be reading "Gidget: The Little Girl with Big Ideas" by Frederick Kohner. The book was a bestseller, inspired the 1959 movie starring Sandra Dee, more movies, and a TV series!
Our moderator will be Jatana Gattis, '99, and we will be joined by the author's daughter, Kathy Kohner Zuckerman, who was the inspiration for her father's character Gidget!!
This will be so much fun. Grab the book for your summer reading, and join us on Zoom on July 14!

Last Thursday, May 14, the Lyon College Alumni Council and Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations hosted the Senior Family Picnic, welcoming the Class of 2026 as the newest group of alumni.
The evening offered the graduates and their families a relaxed way to interact with faculty and staff amidst the excitement of commencement week. We look forward to watching their continued growth and success in the real world, as well as their engagement as alumni!

Scots - we are so grateful for all of the gifts you contributed to this year's challenge! THANK YOU for showing up and showing out!
Supporters of Lyon College contributed $166,857.15 during the annual Robert Young Challenge, generating nearly $300,000 in total impact when combined with matching funds for student scholarships and college programs.
The fundraising event matched donor contributions through a gift from Dr. Robert Young III, former member and chair of the Lyon College Board of Trustees from 1987 to 1995, who pledged up to $130,000 in matching funds.
The annual challenge has become one of the College’s signature fundraising events, bringing together alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the College to invest in Lyon College and its students.
