WOW! Our first BPS Nature Club with Kids Discovery Factory is full!

We are so excited to see the response to this new opportunity for our students. Nature Club is about exploring, discovering, creating, and learning beyond the traditional classroom — and clearly, our families are excited about it too!

This is exactly what we want for our students at BPS: more experiences, more partnerships, and more opportunities to discover what they love. 💙🐾

Our BPS Walk-a-Thon sponsored by our wonderful PTO is coming up on Thursday, September 10! 🐾

This is always such a fun day for our students, and the money raised goes right back to them through field trips, classroom activities, celebrations and other opportunities throughout the year.

We have some fun prizes planned this year, too — including Pizza with the Principal, silly stringing Mr. Maschino and Mrs. Moore, Principal for the Day, and ice cream parties for the top fundraising class in each grade!

Donations are due by September 10. Thank you to everyone who has already started collecting and supporting BPS. We appreciate you! 💙

ALL BCSC PARENTS AND GUARDIANS: Who needs tech help with any of the programs BCSC uses? Whether it's how to use Class Dojo or Canvas, where to find your student's grades in PowerSchool, or other tech questions, our IT department has your back. Join us next Thursday, September 3, at Batesville High School. Bringing your own devices is encouraged but not required. Let us help you make using BCSC's technology as easy as A B C!

Today, our students took advantage of our outdoor classroom—a space designed for hands-on learning, exploration, creativity, and connection, thanks to our generous partners at the Batesville Community Education Foundation. At BPS, we believe meaningful learning can happen anywhere! 💙🐾

Parent Rebecca Sizemore shared that her daughter Violet from Zhang Laoshi’s kindergarten class enjoyed learning Mandarin the first week of school. She cannot wait to show her family how to chant in Mandarin. Great job, Violet!

📢 Community help needed! 🚙 🚛 🚑 🚚 🚒 🛻

We’re looking for local businesses and community partners to be a part of our Kindergarten Touch-a-Truck experience on Thursday, October 1, at Batesville High School!

This is a fun, hands-on opportunity for our kindergarteners to get up close with the vehicles, equipment, and people who help keep our community moving. The experience connects directly to their five senses science unit and our Bulldog Ready pathways, including Skilled Trades, Agriculture, Transportation, and Public Safety.

Details:
•Thursday, October 1
•Batesville High School
•Set up by 8:15 AM
•Students rotate through stations from approximately 8:20–11:00 AM
•Bring a vehicle, equipment, demonstration, or simply your expertise!

We’d love to have a variety of local businesses represented and give our students a chance to see the people and careers that make our community special.
