We're wrapping up our Math Department spotlights by introducing Ms. Rhonda Wehrung!

A few fun facts about Ms. Wehrung:

Favorite Way to Spend Time: Enjoying the outdoors with her family! Whether it's swimming, canoeing, camping, or hiking, she's happiest outside. In fact, a weekend spent tent camping in the woods is her idea of the perfect getaway.

Outdoor Enthusiast: If it involves fresh air and adventure, Ms. Wehrung is all in!

Quiz Bowl Coach: In addition to teaching math, Ms. Wehrung serves as the coach of our State Champion Quiz Bowl Team! Her dedication to helping students grow and excel extends far beyond the classroom.

Whether she's guiding students through math concepts, coaching academic competition, or encouraging students to challenge themselves, Ms. Wehrung brings knowledge, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence to everything she does.

Thank you, Ms. Wehrung, for all you do for our students and for helping make BJHSC a place where learning thrives.

It's time to shine the spotlight on another member of our amazing BJHSC Math Department, Ms. Sydney Sinele!

A few fun facts about Ms. Sinele:

Secret Talent: She knows how to juggle and solve a Rubik's Cube! Talk about impressive problem-solving skills.

Ideal Saturday Morning: A stop at 7 Brew with her husband, running errands around town, and then relaxing at home.

Coolest Summer Adventure: She got married on 6/7 (completely by accident!) and celebrated with a trip to the Bahamas.

Whether she's helping students work through a challenging problem or encouraging them to keep trying when things get tough, Ms. Sinele brings enthusiasm, patience, and a love of learning to her classroom every day.

We're grateful to have Ms. Sinele as part of the Pioneer family and can't wait to see the impact she continues to make on our students this year!

πŸ€πŸ”₯ Great day for the Jr. Boys at team camp!

They went 3-0 at Sloan-Hendrix and played some outstanding basketball. Proud of the effort, teamwork, toughness, and competitiveness they showed all day long. We saw a lot of growth and plenty of positive things to build on moving forward.

Remember to follow Batesville Pioneer Athletics for all their season highlights!

Excited about the future! πŸ§‘πŸ–€πŸ€

Please help us welcome Kenton Crawford as our new Junior High Football and Basketball assistant coach.

Kenton is a 2015 graduate of Batesville, where he played baseball, basketball, and football receiving All State and All conference honors. After high school, he continued his love of baseball at Mineral Area College before transferring to Southern Illinois University, where he played and graduated. Many of our students already know him from coaching our Junior Pioneer baseball team this past year.

β€œMy family and I are excited to be apart of Pioneer Nation! Getting the opportunity to be a part of such a special moment of growth and development as athletes and people is something I’m grateful for. I am committed to giving my all to ensure that, every day! I am a family man, and this is a family I was born to be apart of!”
