πŸŽ‰ **Learning, Laughter, and a Sweet Celebration!** πŸŽ‚

Learning English isn't just about vocabulary and grammarβ€”it's also about building connections and celebrating life's special moments together.

Our ESL classroom recently celebrated instructor **Joanna's birthday** with a classroom party complete with cake, milk, and a chorus of "Happy Birthday!" The celebration even included a lively game of **Past Tense BINGO**, giving students a fun way to practice their English skills while making lasting memories together.

At UACCB Adult Education, we believe some of the best learning happens through meaningful experiences that bring people together. Moments like these help build confidence, strengthen language skills, and create a welcoming classroom where everyone feels they belong.

Happy Birthday, Joanna! Thank you for the encouragement, kindness, and dedication you bring to your students each day. We hope your celebration was as wonderful as you are! πŸ’™

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to our student, Trang Dang!

Our ESL and ABE students recently attended the Business Expo, where they explored local businesses, discovered career opportunities, and connected with employers and community resources. It was a great opportunity to learn more about career pathways available in our area.

As a special thank-you for participating, all attendees were entered into a drawing for a $10 Walmart gift card. Congratulations to Trang Dang, whose name was selected as our lucky winner!

Thank you to everyone who attended and represented UACCB Adult Education. We are proud of our students for taking advantage of opportunities that support their educational and career goals.

πŸŽ“ GED Graduate Spotlight: Shelby Blackman πŸŽ“

Meet Shelby Blackman, our latest GED graduate! Shelby set out to earn her GED simply to better herself for the future β€” and she did exactly that.

With her diploma in hand, Shelby is looking ahead to a career in the medical field, ready to take the next step toward her goals. When asked what she's most proud of, her answer was simple and powerful: she's proud that she was able to accomplish it.

Shelby's advice for anyone thinking about earning their GED? "Do the classes. You never know when your ideas in life might change."

Shelby gives a special thank-you to Miss Saffell and Miss Hooper, who supported her through the entire process β€” even when the work felt repetitive β€” never giving up on her.

Congratulations, Shelby! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see where your medical career takes you. πŸ’™

🌟 July Student of the Month: Trung Minh Doan 🌟

Meet Trung β€” a Vietnamese-born forklift driver, DIY handyman, tennis player, fisherman, and all-around awesome human being who has called Batesville home for four years! πŸ‡»πŸ‡³πŸŽΎπŸŽ£

Trung works hard at Peco Foods and is building an even bigger future for himself and his family. His English goals? A better salary, understanding the news, earning his GED β€” and maybe even college someday! This man has a plan! πŸ’ͺ

At home, his wife and sister stay on him to never stop studying β€” and his three kids, two boys and a girl, are all riding the school bus together every morning while Dad is busy making their future brighter. πŸ’™

Trung’s favorite part of class is listening and speaking with his teacher, and he believes English helps his whole family put down deeper roots in their new home country.

His advice to anyone considering ESL class is only three words long, but they say everything: β€œDon’t give up.”

We see you, Trung β€” and we are incredibly proud of you! 🌟
