Today we dropped off our chapter officers at the Arkansas FFA Chapter Presidents Conference! We are excited for our Chapter President, Adalynn, and Vice President, Sydney, as they spend the week learning, growing, and developing their leadership skills alongside FFA members from across the state.

Throughout the conference, they will participate in workshops, team-building activities, and leadership sessions designed to help them become even stronger leaders. We know they’ll gain valuable knowledge, fresh ideas, and new experiences that they can bring back to help strengthen the Batesville FFA Chapter this year.

🤩Mrs. Payton and Ms. Harris recently spent an exciting and educational week attending the Agriculture Teacher In-Service, a professional development conference specifically designed for agricultural educators. Throughout the week, they participated in a variety of group sessions, hands-on workshops, breakout sessions, and collaborative learning experiences focused on enhancing agricultural education and classroom instruction.🤩

The conference offered a wide range of topics that provided valuable knowledge and practical skills. Some of the sessions they attended included incorporating interactive notebooks into agricultural classrooms to increase student engagement, advanced welding techniques with Arkansas Elite, an introduction to electricity, Greenway Precision Agriculture, the Auctioneering Career Development Event (CDE), and many other innovative presentations covering both traditional and emerging areas of agricultural education.

In addition to gaining technical knowledge, Mrs. Payton and Ms. Harris had the opportunity to network with fellow agriculture teachers from across the state, exchange ideas, discover new teaching strategies, and learn about the latest industry trends and technologies. These experiences will help them continue to create engaging, hands-on learning opportunities that prepare students for success in agriculture and beyond.

They are excited to bring these new ideas, skills, and resources back to the classroom this school year. By implementing what they learned during the conference, they hope to provide students with even more interactive lessons, real-world experiences, and opportunities to develop the leadership and technical skills that are essential in today’s agricultural industry. Their commitment to continuous learning ensures that their students receive a high-quality, relevant agricultural education that reflects the ever-changing world of agriculture!💙💛

What a day for the Batesville FFA Livestock Show Team!

Our day started bright and early with a 4:30 a.m. wake-up call to load animals and hit the road for the Arkansas Junior Sheep Council Jackpot in Marmaduke. From the moment we arrived until we pulled back into the barn at 8:45 p.m., these students represented our chapter with hard work, responsibility, and outstanding sportsmanship.

Throughout the day, they worked tirelessly fitting their animals, preparing for a double show, and making sure their livestock were cared for. We never once had to remind them to water, feed, or check on their animals—they took ownership of that responsibility all day long. Even after nearly 17 hours on the go, they unloaded, put everything away, and cared for their animals without a single complaint. Moments like these remind us that showing livestock builds so much more than banners and buckles—it builds character, responsibility, and work ethic.
