Lyon College Kresge Gallery is proud to announce our first exhibition of the fall series “Lean In” by Christina Kerns. The exhibition runs now through September 20, with an artist reception on Thursday, September 19 from 5:00 to 6:30.

“Lean In” includes a photographic process called lenticular. Each lenticular incorporates two photographic images that “flip” as the viewer moves from left to right.
The material choices and the installation method reference the screen and experience of the internet in a physical space. The artist is interested in the translation from digital experience to a physical one in today’s culture.
Christina Kerns is a new media artist working in photography, animation, net art and printed matter. She received her BFA in photography with a minor in art history from Pratt Institute and an MFA in interdisciplinary art from the University of Pennsylvania, PennDesign. Her work incorporates ideas of individuality, socially constructed value systems and individual and cultural history. She is an Associate Professor at Lincoln University, of PA and lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. She has exhibited in New York, Philadelphia, London,
Berlin, Australia and San Francisco.
