Southside EAST

Our EAST Facilitator, Mr. Difani, attended the “LETS: 3D Print” Workshop recently at EAST Initiative Headquarters in Little Rock. Special thanks to them for hosting and getting this special grant.

For attending, our EAST program received a Bambu Lab X1C 3D printer (a $2,000 value) to take back to the classroom. This 3D printer was supplied by a grant from the NSF- National Science Federation and was presented by Matter Hackers. This printer was said to be the “Maserati” of 3D printers.

Last Friday these young ladies were able to attend a Student Champion Training and represent our EAST program. (Pictured left to right: Haddie Slayden, Darby Martin, Bella Baxter, & Heidi Lermitte)

We are selling Battle of the Bridge Roster Pamphlets tomorrow night for the football game. They will have both rosters of the teams.

One of the most amazing and caring families in our community needs our help. They recently had lost everything in the house fire. They all got out without injury. They are going to need all the love and support from our community to rebuild what was lost. So Southside Baseball and Football have organized a donation drive for the Vanwinkles on Friday, June 16th, from 10 AM-12 PM at the entrance of Southside Charter High School.

EAST NEXT GEN is in full swing in the EAST room! We love having 6th graders come up there day & experience a little bit of EAST with photoshop design, music making, photography, tinker cad, 3d printing & team building TikTok! EAST Initiative
