A filming crew was on site yesterday to shoot residents, staff and faculty for 2 videos. One will focus on the clinic services, and the second will target medical students on why they should consider family medicine and North Central for their residency. College students walked away with lots of information to decide their next steps as a health care professional at the Undergraduate Pre-Health Conference last Friday at UAMS Little Rock. Students heard from the five UAMS colleges and graduate school, plus tips from a 7-member UAMS student panel. One piece of advice from a second-year med school student was to have a compelling story for the interview so you can stand out from the crowd.

Vice Chancellor of UAMS Regional Campuses, Brian Jones, stopped in to speak at the Batesville Rotary Club this week, talking about UAMS North Central's family medicine residency program and the family medical clinic that delivers primary care for all ages. It also offers mental health and psychiatric services, fetal heart imaging, and heart and cardiovascular care. Jones was joined by Batesville Rotary Club president, Dorothy Hennings.
