Days of Wonder School

Days of Wonder School Affordable excellence in Batavia where students (preschool, K-8, high school) learn in a positive, bully-free environment.

Our MISSION: To provide a unique, alternative educational opportunity in which students of all ages are challenged, honored, and guided along the path to success and lifelong learning. Our MISSION is based on the belief that the goal of education should be the creation of lifelong learners who will become tomorrow's thinkers, leaders, and active citizens. Underlying this philosophy and goal is the

strong belief that all children have the right to an excellent, all-encompassing education regardless of their family's financial situation. Days of Wonder is a unique school that uses a different approach to education in order to provide the highest levels of learning. Unlike a "traditional" approach, each child, parent, and teacher is expected to be a part of the education process. Days of Wonder understands that each child is unique and that uniqueness is celebrated and encouraged.

OH MY GOODNESS!! Guess what appeared at my door....a treasure trove of books for our library donated by you in honor of my birthday!! I don't even know where to start....but I plan to read them all this summer. You will find them in the library by the first day of school.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Families,

As you may know today is Cynthia's birthday. Sadly, she is in the hospital and will be there throughout the weekend. I was trying to think of something to lift her spirits and had an idea.

I was talking to Cynthia last week and she told me that it was important to her that we keep the library up to date with new and exciting books for the kids and teachers to read. Wouldn't it be great if each year we celebrate our school's founder by joining together on her birthday and honoring her request by buying some new books for the kids?

If you are interested in contributing, below is an Amazon link to some books that I thought would make a good addition to our library. Some are less than $2. Used is fine.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Please keep Mrs. Day in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Our third graduate is Katherine. This is Katherine's 4th year at Days of Wonder. I will forever be able to close my eyes and hear Katherine's laugh. She embraced DOW's philosophy and was always open and welcoming to new students. She has a solid work ethic and loves working with animals. Katherine plans to spend the summer with family in South America and then attend University of Cincinnati for veterinary science. Join me in Congratulating Katherine.

Also, don't forget to join our parade tomorrow. Line up starts at 11:30 at Batavia Middle School located at 800 Bauer Ave Batavia 45103. Your kids will like to be in a parade with a fire truck and to see our DOW grads!

The next graduate I would like to recognize is Seth. Seth is holding the red ribbon he won for the Clermont County Library's science fair. This was Seth's first year with us. Seth had to take at least two public buses each day to reach us and get home. He often didn't get home until after 6 because he had to transfer buses in downtown Cincinnati. Nevertheless, he was there every morning. For the first half of the year, I heard "Ms. Amy, I can't do this." I would reassure and even push him some. By the end of the year, he was high school president and winning awards at science fairs. Seth plans on pursuing a psychology degree at NKU in the fall. Please join me in Congratulating Seth!
