Our students range from preschool through high school and beyond.

Because children don't develop in just one area and sometimes the support a child needs goes far beyond academics.

We’re growing again! ❤️

Letters 2 Literacy is looking to add another Phonics Instructor to our team of dedicated educators!

We are seeking an experienced, licensed educator who is passionate about helping struggling readers build the foundational skills they need to become confident, successful readers.

Qualifications:

📖 Orton-Gillingham training REQUIRED

🪪 A valid teaching license REQUIRED

✏️ Extensive experience teaching explicit, systematic, and sequential phonics instruction

📚 Strong understanding of the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy practices

❤️ Experience working with struggling readers and providing individualized instruction

🌟 A passion for making a difference in the lives of children!

🗓️ Availability to work a minimum of two evenings per week

At Letters 2 Literacy, we believe every child deserves access to high-quality literacy instruction, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. We’re looking for someone who shares that mission!

🐾 Today is a Miss Izzy day! 🐾

If you’re lucky enough to be here when Miss Izzy is visiting, be sure to stop by, say hello, and give her some cuddles! 💕

Miss Izzy is a certified therapy pup, and she’s here to make our lobby feel a little less intimidating, a little more welcoming, and a whole lot more fun for our students.

And today is one of those lucky days! 🐶🐾

💚 DID YOU KNOW?

Letters 2 Literacy is a nonprofit organization.

We may look a little different from what people traditionally think of when they hear the word "nonprofit" because we provide reading, math, writing, speech and occupational therapy services.

But our purpose has never been about simply providing a service.

Our mission is about making sure children can access the support they need to learn, grow and succeed regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

When you support L2L, you're helping us continue building a place where more children have access to the support they deserve.

Reading Support That Builds Confidence

Reading doesn't come easily to every child, and that's okay! At Letters 2 Literacy, we provide individualized, evidence-based reading instruction using structured literacy and explicit phonics. Our goal is to help students build the skills and confidence they need to become successful readers. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn to read! 🖤

We’re so grateful to be part of the conversation! ❤️

Letters 2 Literacy was recently featured by Interact for Health in their article about the 2026 Rural Community Connect events. These gatherings bring local nonprofits and community leaders together to connect, share ideas, and build stronger partnerships.

One of our biggest takeaways was a reminder of just how important collaboration is. We loved reconnecting with local organizations and making plans to continue those conversations beyond the event.

We’re thankful for opportunities like this that bring people who care about our communities together! 💙

Letters 2 Literacy, a Batavia nonprofit that grew from a single fitness studio room, is now serving more than 200 students a week, and a new $20,000 grant from the Scripps Howard Fund and Scripps Howard Foundation is helping it reach even further.
