Batavia 101’s music education program receives highest quality recognition The district received the Best Communities for Music Education ranking from the National Association of Music Merchants. Only 29 districts across the state received the designation, according to a release by the district.

From epidemiology to tuba, Gabby Thomas does it all Olympic bronze medalist Gabby Thomas can do it all. She plays the tuba, studied epidemiology and graduated from Harvard. Now, she's chasing her second Olympic medal in the women's 200m.

🎺🎻Budding musician alert! Today, Rotolo Middle School Band and Orchestra members showcased their instruments to 4th grade students from all six elementary schools. This gave the younger students a chance to hear the different instruments before they choose to be in band or orchestra next year. The fact that this one event brings together SEVEN schools, MULTIPLE grades, TWO ensembles, FIFTEEN instruments, and HUNDREDS of kids is quite an amazing feat! 🥰This could be one of the many reasons why Batavia has been named a BEST Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation in 9 of the past 10 years!🎼
