Students in Mrs. Harloff’s class participated in Structured Reading Groups, where they engaged in a variety of skill-based literacy centers aligned with Fundations Unit 2. During this time, students practiced letter and sound recognition, reading tricky words, building and reading CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, decoding nonsense words, and building sentences. 🌎🇲🇽 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Jackson Primary! 💙💚

Today, we wrapped up our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations with some very special guests! 🎉

Students from Batavia High School joined us during our morning Hot Spot to teach our Jackson students Spanish words and share their knowledge of the language! Our students loved learning from the older students and making connections across our district! 📚✨

A special THANK YOU to Señor Matkosly and the Batavia High School students for helping us celebrate Hispanic culture, language, and learning in such a meaningful way!

Today, our Jackson students had a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a special dance presentation from Alma de Mexico! 💃
Our students experienced the beauty of Mexican culture through traditional dances, colorful costumes, and music! 🇲🇽✨

To make the celebration even more special, our students proudly performed a song they learned in Music class! 🎤🎶
