Mrs. Samantha Mann, Executive Director of Beekman Charter School, had the honor of speaking to the Optimist Club of Bastrop, Louisiana about the exciting improvements happening at Beekman Charter School, the important role BCS plays in our community, and the value of families having a choice in education right here in Morehouse Parish.

The Ouachita Parish School Board will host a School Bus Training Course for new driver applicants:

Announcements for Friday, August 28, 2026

All:

TODAY, Friday is our first School Wide themed SPIRIT Day! GOOD LUCK to the BCS Tigers as they take on Jonesboro Hodge appearing in the Louisiana Bayou Jamb on Saturday at 11:00 am on ULM campus, BCS wants to cheer them on with a spirit day on Friday! The theme is: “It’s Game Time”...make sure to wear your favorite BCS sports attire!

Tickets for Bayou Jamb are still available for purchase in the Main Office. The cost is $12.00 per ticket and 100% of the pre-sales stays at Beekman Charter School.

Students in 9th grade, if you have your Diabetes Prevention papers completed, please turn them in to your English Teacher by Friday, August 28.

High school students that are drivers will need to buy a parking pass. Mrs. Owens will be selling parking passes during high school lunch from August 31st to September 4th. Parking Pass- $10 Items needed: proof of insurance, copy of DL, license plate #

Meet the Tigers has been rescheduled for TODAY, Thursday, August 27 at 5:30 pm. Admission is FREE and Concessions will be sold. Come out and Support all your Fall Sport Tigers!
