Over the past several weeks, BHS forensic science students have been engaged in learning about medicolegal death investigation, which entails the inquiry into unexpected or suspicious deaths. This week, students had the opportunity to attend a lecture delivered by forensic pathologist Dr. Suzanna Dana, gaining insight into the role of a medical examiner. Additionally, students explored the field of forensic anthropology through a laboratory activity.

Career training opportunity for our young people in Bastrop County!

πŸ’«BHS forensic science students had the privilege of attending a FACTS Lecture at the Texas State Forensic Anthropology Center, where they learned about human osteology and worked directly with human skeletal remains. In cases where only bones remain, forensic anthropologists can help investigators determine the victim's identity and sometimes the cause of death. πŸ’€πŸ©»
