Bringing real-world science to the classroom! 🔬🔍

This week, our Forensics students at Bastrop High School had an incredible opportunity to learn directly from a guest speaker with the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO)! 🚓

Students got an inside look at how forensic science is applied right here in our community—exploring real-world topics like crime scene investigation, evidence collection, chain of custody, and modern fingerprint & digital forensics. It was an amazing opportunity for our Bears to ask questions about career pathways in law enforcement and criminal justice!

A huge thank you to the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office for taking the time to mentor and inspire our future forensic scientists! 👏🐻✨

What a fantastic turnout for B.E.S.T. College Night at Bastrop High School! 🎓✨

On Wednesday, September 23rd, students in grades 9–12 had the incredible opportunity to connect directly with representatives from 2-year colleges, 4-year universities, and trade and technical schools right in the BHS Cafeteria.

It’s never too early to start exploring post-secondary options and planning for the future! A huge thank you to our visiting representatives, staff, teachers, and all the students and families who came out to make this event such a success. 🚀🐻

Our Bastrop High School math classes are proving that learning math is anything but boring! Check out what our students have been up to:

📊 OnRamps Statistics (Aug 18): Students played a math-themed version of the classic "Telephone Game" to practice describing and recreating complex graphical displays. Communication and precision in action!

🏃‍♂️💨 Algebra 1 (Aug 24): Students turned up the heat with high-energy relay races—racing against the clock and each other to solve algebraic equations!

We love seeing our teachers bring math to life with creative, hands-on learning. Keep up the awesome work, Bears! 🐻➕➖✖️➗
