Bastrop FFA

The new officer team participated in their first event as a team today! Accompanied by a few previous officers and advisors, we attended the Area 12 FFA convention in Temple. We voted on talent teams, Area and State officer candidates, celebrated CDE and SDE teams, listened to our very own Addy Moore retire as Area 12 vice president representing the Star district, and installed the new Area 12 FFA officer team.
What a day of successes, tears, and memories! 💙✨

Area 12 Speaking Development event this morning! Gabi, placed 7th in her category of Natural Resources. So proud of how far she has come! 💙💛

What a FUN day! Go carts, mini golf, laser tag, arcade, and all you can eat pizza, count the FFA kids IN!!

These members met the minimum qualifications for each fundraiser in the fall and spring to be eligible for our reward trip! We all had such a fun time! 💙💛

✨ FFA Banquet 2026! ✨ Last night was a lot of laughs, plenty of tears, and a night to remember! We awarded various awards, recognized outstanding members, listened to retiring addresses, and inducted the new 2026-2027 Bastrop FFA Officer Team!
As much as we will miss this very special officer team, we are so excited to introduce you to the new team!

Star District Banquet tonight with our new officer team and a few of our retiring officers. This was the first official event for the new team.
Tonight our officers got to celebrate our spring contest successes, voted for new district officers and helped send off our retiring district and area FFA officers. Addy and Gabi had the privilege of representing Bastrop FFA at both the Area and District level. They led our members with courage, confidence, and commitment! We wish them luck in their future endeavors! We know you will continue to make us proud!

Our future is very bright with our new team! Stay tuned for our chapter banquet next week to officially announce our new team! 💙💛

Yesterday, vice-president Gabi Lopez, traveled to Elgin High School for the Star District Speaking Development Events. Gabi presented a 6-8 minute speech over Natural Resources and had 5 minutes to answer any questions the judges could ask.🎤✨

A tough category to be in and Gabi WON 1st place, securing her spot at the Area 12 SDE on May 14th. 💛💙🥇

Area CDE contests have come to a close! ✅
April 7th, our Dairy Cattle 🐄 team traveled to Stephenville for their contest, placing 12th in our Area.
Today, Horse Judging, Entomology, and Poultry judging team traveled to College Station for their contest rest of the CDE contests. Results are as follows:
🐴 Horse Judging- 15th place
🐛Entomology- 16th place
🐓Poultry judging- 10th place

We have had such a successful CDE season and are so proud of our teams! 💙💛
