We wanted to share a quick reminder about the major validation tag orders - see full details in the email blast.

Late tag orders are due NEXT Thursday, 9/17 for Lambs, Goats, and Heifers.

Early Hog tag orders will be due Wednesday, 9/16.

Another industry professional in the classroom on Wednesday! Dr. Rivera and Vet Tech Perla visited Mrs. Schwartz’s Veterinary Medical Applications class. Dr. Riviera’s presentation focused on proper handling techniques, clinical communication, and steps to a proper physical examination. Hands on from a professional for our students! Doesn’t get better than that!
Thank you Bastrop Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Rivera, and Perla for being dedicated to educating our students! We appreciate you! 🩺🐾

🐴 Exciting things happening in Mrs. Schwartz’s Equine Science classes! Equine Veterinarian, Dr. Barton, with Elgin Veterinary Hospital, came to talk to our students about the career and the path to success! Students will later have the opportunity to travel to the vet facility once the classroom instruction has covered facilities and management practices.
Huge thank you to Dr. Barton for taking time out of her busy schedule to come give real world talks to my students! Your time is greatly appreciated! 🐴

It's time to order State Validation Tags for livestock showing in the Spring Major Shows (Ft Worth, San Angelo, San Antonio, Houston, Rodeo Austin)!

There are options for online purchase and for paper order forms - please see the links in the email blasts for access to them.

Sheep, Goat, and Heifer Tag orders are due 8/27

Swine tag orders are due 9/16.
