And that’s a wrap for our teachers and staff! Today we celebrated the end of an amazing school year with staff awards and recognition for years of service, perfect attendance, and the incredible hard work poured into this year.

Thank you to our staff for the care, dedication, and support you gave our students and school community every single day. We are so grateful for all that you do.

Now it’s time to relax, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved summer break! ☀️

Dear Class of 2030,
We are so proud of you. During your time at Bastrop Middle School, you accomplished so much, from falling down and getting back up, to making new friends and discovering who you are. As you head into summer and begin this exciting new chapter, always remember: you are resilient, special, smart, and capable of amazing things.
You now have so many people in your corner, cheering you on every step of the way. And if life ever feels a little overwhelming, throw on some Taylor Swift, dance it out, and keep going.
BMS will always be your home.🫶🏼 So hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you.💗🐻

Yesterday we celebrated an outstanding group of 8th graders as they prepare for their next journey! 🎓 We are so proud to send these students on to high school after they helped set the standard of excellence at Bastrop Middle School. Whether their next chapter takes them to Bastrop High School or CRCA, we know they will continue to make us proud and accomplish amazing things. Once a Bear, always a Bear! 🐻✨

What a year it’s been with this incredible group of 7th graders! 💗 We’ve loved getting to know each of them and watching them accomplish amazing things along the way. As they step into their role as campus leaders next year, we can’t wait to see the example they set as we begin an exciting new chapter welcoming our 6th graders. The future is bright! ✨

This week, we had a ball… and dodged a few too 🏐💨 At our annual Dodgeball Tournament, the “Coaches” team dodged their way to 1st place, while the Minions proved they’re more than just banana lovers with a strong 2nd place finish 🍌👏

There was no “escaping” math in Ms. Cox’s class — even with only 3 days left of school! 🔐➕ Students were busy mathing their way through an exciting Escape Room challenge on Friday! 🧩📚

We all scream for RLA growth! 🍨🎉 More than 100 students showed growth from their BOY to EOY MAP RIT scores and celebrated with ice cream during WIN Time with Ms. Kilgore and Ms. Mimms. Sweet success never tasted so good!

Our 8th graders had a six-flags-tastic time on their field trip to 6 Flags! 🎢☀️ From thrilling rollercoasters to nonstop laughs, this crew definitely took fun to new heights! Huge shoutout to the Bastrop Middle School PTA for sponsoring the trip and keeping everyone refreshed with waters after a full day of adventures. 💗 We can’t wait to see where the Class of 2030 goes next — the future looks like quite the ride! 🎡✨
