Riverside Middle School was proud to show up and support our community at the Bastrop Homecoming Parade! Our amazing River Bells Dance Team, Cheer Team, Girls Athletics, and Boys Athletics represented Riverside with pride, school spirit, and Grizzly excellence.📣⚽️🏈🏐

A special shoutout to C.C. Carlton Industries Ltd. for donating the truck and trailer for the float!

We are proud of all of our students for demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and community pride.

📣✨ UCA Cheer Camp = SUCCESS! ✨📣

The Riverside cheerleaders are bringing home the spirit after an amazing 4 days at UCA Camp at The University of Texas! From learning new routines to strengthening their bond as a team, these girls worked hard, made memories, and had a pom-believable week! 📣

Camp Highlights:
🥉Overall Middle School Spirit: 3rd Place
❤️ Red Excellent Ribbon: Spirit Championship Routine
💙 2 Blue Superior Ribbons
☀️ Our mascot earned the Little Miss Sunshine Trophy and a Gold Superior Ribbon!
You could say they understood the assignment… without missing a beat! 😉📣

⭐️ A huge thank you to Coach Petra Gutierrez and our very own Mrs. Matthews for being with and supporting the girls all week, Coach Figueroa for getting them safely to camp, and an extra special thank you to Principal Michelle Nicholas for always supporting and believing in our Grizzlies! 🫶

🍎 Thank you to all of our cheer parents who contributed snacks, drinks, and food for the girls. Your support helped make camp a success! 🐻

🚀GRIZZLIES BLAST OFF TO VICTORY! 👽

We are excited to announce that we won the Bastrop ISD Back to School Bash Campus Contest, earning a $600 donation from Roscoe Bank!💰🐻 Thank you Bastrop ISD Community Relations for putting on this event!

The “Blast Off with BISD” theme truly took flight with our out-of-this-world decorations, custom space-themed shirts, and an incredible team that brought the energy all evening long. ✨

A huge shoutout to our amazing administrators, Counselors and Instructional Coaches who went all in during the competitions and helped secure the win! Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and Grizzly spirit made all the difference. 💪🏆

🎶 Band Camp is Underway! 🎶

Our 7th & 8th Grade Riverside Middle School Band had an incredible first day of Band Camp! Under the direction of Mrs. Eliza Ramirez and new Assistant Band Director Julio Gonzalez, students are already hard at work preparing for an amazing year.

Mr. Gonzalez shared, “It was a great day with a phenomenal turnout! We had about 40 students!” 👏

The countdown to the first day of school is on! We’re excited to welcome all 7th & 8th graders to our Schedule Pickup.

📍 Riverside Middle School: Front Office

During Schedule Pickup, students will receive their class schedules and be one step closer to kicking off an amazing school year!

6th Grade will get schedules during Riverside Roundup on Aug 11 at 5:00 in the Gym. If you are unable to attend you can still pick up your schedule anytime August 12th 8:00-4:00.

All schedules are visible online in Skyward on August 11th.

We can’t wait to see our Grizzly families and officially welcome everyone back to Riverside! 💙🤎
