I appreciate all the parents of the many children that have been students of LBS for the last 33 years. My staff of years past and present have been wonderful. Thank you to Jennifer Balusek, Kayla Montgomery, Sharron Ashleigh Kellar, Jamie Walp, Ginny Zbikowski Dixon, Cielo Houston, Emily McMullen. I couldn’t have done it this long without the dedication and support of everyone. Stay safe and healthy!

I am very sad to say that after 33 years in business, I am going to have to close the center. Most of y’all are working from home and do not need childcare. So, we have been operating with only 1/4 enrollment. I just can’t continue to pay my employees and expenses. I am sorry for the short notice. It has been a pleasure to have known everyone and served the children of Bastrop County. Take care and stay in touch.

Thank you to the parents that were so understanding when their children were sent home with a persistent cough. We are being super vigilant as mandated by the Health Dept and Licensing, for the health and protection of all the children in the center.

We are open for your benefit! We will remain open unless the state licensing agency asks us to shut down. We are a small center and already have had strict hand washing and cleaning routines. Please do not bring your children if they have any symptoms of illness.

Little Blue Schoolhouse is hiring for a toddler teacher. You would need a high school diploma or GED and a clean criminal record. Experience is a plus but you will be trained on the job.
