The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is a unique education agency with a statewide network of professional educators, trained volunteers, and county offices. It reaches into every Texas county to address local priority needs. Some of our major efforts are in mitigating drought impacts; conserving water use in homes, landscapes, and production agriculture; improving emergency management; enhancing food security; and protecting human health through education about diet, exercise, and disease prevention and management. AgriLife Extension demonstrates the latest technology and best practices to improve the state’s food and fiber system, which serves all Texas consumers and contributes nine percent of the gross domestic product. We wanted to send another quick reminder that the BCJLS / ELSA September meeting is happening this coming Monday, 9/14.

This show is open to ALL 4-H & FFA members in the county, but does require families to join the association and attend the meetings for information. This meeting will be covering the rules and important dates for this year.

Howdy!!

We wanted to send a quick reminder that the Bastrop Area Livestock Show (BALSFA) is hosting their BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, 9/12.

They do need donations to help with the auction from both 4-H & FFA members. Donations may be dropped off on Friday, 9/11, from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Howdy!!

The Bastrop Area Livestock Show (BALSFA) is working on fundraising for activities this year and it is coming up quickly! They are hosting a BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, September 12th!

To help support the event, 4-H members have been asked to donate live and silent auction items for the fundraiser

Items can be dropped off at the County Extension Office next week OR at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Rockne from 5-7 PM on Fri, 9/11

Hey all!

We are excited to start a brand new 4-H year! Anyone who would like to show animals, participate in club meetings, or any other 4-H activities will need to enroll (and RE-enroll for the current 4-H year).

We are also switching enrollment systems this year - the State has just released the new TX4H system at https://tx4h.tamu.edu/

Only a couple of the clubs are showing right now, we are working on adding the others!
