Summer is in full swing! Our summer camp days are the best!

We are in full summer swing!

Kindergarten means “children’s garden”. The phrase was coined by German educator Friedrich Frobel, who viewed children as delicate plants that needed to be nurtured, carefully tended, and allowed to grow naturally in a supportive environment.

Freddy — we must agree!

“Kindergarten” happens within our Primary program for ages 3-6 years. Many parents think about the value and importance of Montessori for the pre-k years (3-4 yrs) but the real impact happens in the last year in the primary program (5-6yrs) — that’s when every scaffolded lesson comes to its fullest fruition — children bloom in that final year before moving into our elementary program.

Here, you can see our 5-6year old primary students giving presentations on their end-of-year research projects. They get to choose a topic that they are passionate about and spend weeks reading, writing, creating visuals, and rehearsing to present to their classmates.

It’s hard to believe the school year ends this Friday.
We are so thrilled with how many of our kinder aged students will be moving up to the lower elementary class for ages 6-9years!
