Esperamos que todos hayan tenido un buen fin de semana y estan disfrutando de este frio en casita hoy!
Queremos presentarles a la nueva miembra de nuestro equipo: Vanessa Villareal. Vanessa estará ayudando con los procedimientos de LPAC y también estará en contacto con la comunidad como enlace de padres de nuestros estudiantes bilingües.
"Como hija de dos inmigrantes que no hablaban inglés, entiendo los desafíos y experiencia de ser un estudiante bilingüe de primera generación. El apoyo que recibí de los programas escolares bilingües durante mi niñez han abierto puertas para mí y han tenido un impacto positivo en mi vida. Ahora, tengo la oportunidad de poder dar de mi parte. Estoy agradecida por el privilegio de ayudar a los estudiantes y familias como la mía en Bastrop ISD, y espero poder marcar la diferencia en mi comunidad, de la misma manera que otros alguna vez lo hicieron por mi. "

We want to present the newest member of our team: Vanessa Villareal. Vanessa eill be helping with the LPAC procedures and will be in conact with the community as our bilingual parent liaison.
"As the daughter of two immigrants who did not speak English, I understand firsthand the challenges and experiences of being a first-generation bilingual student. The support I received from school programs like the bilingual program during my childhood opened doors for me and had a lasting, positive impact on my life. Now, I have the opportunity to pay it forward. I am grateful for the privilege to serve students and families like mine through Bastrop ISD, and I look forward to making a meaningful difference in my community, just as others once did for me."
