Donna Cunningham and I are sad to announce the cancelation of the Texas Fusion Festival 😕
We will continue to host community events and of course Shimmy on the Colorado the second weekend of October.

You will be able to work with some of the instructors during Shimmy on the Colorado 2027.

Ready for some excellent dancing!?!

Who's ready to kick it old school??? I'm offering my Old School/New School workshop next weekend at @bellydance4everyone 's Shimmy on the Colorado, Saturday October 11, 12:30p - 2:30p! Fusion belly dance isn't purely cenotaphic—it lives and breathes and evolves with each generation. What I love about this workshop is sharing some vintage nostalgia with newer students who didn't get the opportunity to train during these phases of fusion history when certain trends and aesthetics were popular. I get to pass along my love for the integrity of this style, as well as incorporate some contemporary elements from how fusion lives in the current global belly dance economy. In this clip, the students and I devised this choreography at the very end of class as a recap of our favorite bits and pieces from the various combos and techniques I taught throughout the class.
