Yesterday, Ms. Villegas’ kindergarten class celebrated 𝔻𝕠𝕥 𝔻𝕒𝕪 with a simple but powerful message: sometimes, the hardest part is getting started.

They talked about how we can feel scared to try something new, get stuck overthinking, or worry that our work won’t be “good enough.” But just like Vashti in The Dot, sometimes all it takes is making one little mark to discover where our creativity can take us.

Our students took that first step and created their very own dots! 🌈 They experimented with colors, patterns, and designs and, most importantly, they signed their creations to celebrate their own unique ideas and creativity.

In the library this week, our Kinder and 1st graders investigated books using microscopes to learn about book care, and our older students completed a scavenger hunt to explore library organization.
