Colony Oaks Elementary School

This year, our Cougars logged 639,470 minutes of reading during our first year of using Beanstack! We want to keep up the strong love for reading over the summer. The district has started a Read Across Bastrop initiative for summer reading. Follow the QR code to log time, and we will recognize top readers and schools.

And here are some of our kiddos who received free books from the vending machine for their behavior at the end of the school year.

Our GT students exhibited their spring projects during award ceremonies this week. They studied gardening, architecture, bridges, art, Egypt, and public spaces.

What a great week to be a fourth grader (now fifth grader!) at Colony Oaks Elementary! We ended our year with Market Day on Tuesday, awards ceremony yesterday, and today we celebrated with a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament, surprise glow/dance party, and a silly string finale. What a fun way to wrap up an amazing year!

Our final award ceremony was for our outstanding group of 5th graders moving onto middle school! They were here for 3 years, and we will miss them so much, but they are ready to go out and change the world!

Our 4th graders have proven that they are ready to be our leaders at COE next year. They are stepping into some big shoes to fill as our 5th graders move on to middle school, but we know they're up to the task!

Today, we held our 3rd grade awards ceremony. We are so proud of these students, some who came to COE as 1st graders. Now they're ready to be mentors to our younger students as amazing 4th graders!

Congratulations to these awesome students who earned the Cougar Cup in March, April, and May! 💚🏆

This school year we had 281 students who earned the Cougar Cup for mastering their math facts! We are so proud of the hard work and determination these Cougars have shown!

Keep working hard and we will be ready to try again next year!
