Imagine if churches across Nebraska began praying with one heart for the same thing, not for our churches to become bigger or better, but for Jesus to become known.

Imagine if pastors prayed for pastors, churches served alongside churches, and believers from different congregations came together to meet needs and address problems communities face.

Imagine if revival meant the Church coming back to life, back to prayer, back to the Word, back to the presence of the Holy Spirit and back to the mission Jesus gave us.

Imagine if that revival turned into a real awakening that reached far beyond our church buildings and into our communities.

From our largest cities to the smallest towns, along the Platte River Valley, across the Sandhills, through the northern counties and all the way to Scottsbluff and the western reaches of our state, what if the people of Nebraska began seeing the Church united and alive in Jesus?

Four years ago, my wife, Teresa, and I moved to Nebraska from West Texas to serve the Lord here. Relocating wasn’t easy. Leaving a place where our kids grew up, we had spent many years building relationships, serving people and putting down roots brought its share of challenges and adjustments.

But four years has given us time to see the people, the communities and the incredible opportunities that exist here. It has given us time to recognize the needs, to love this state and to begin envisioning what God could do through His people.

I'm 100% convinced of this: God has called us ALL for such a time as this.

Some were born and raised in Nebraska. Others, like us, are transplants who came from somewhere else. But wherever our story began, if God has planted us here, we have an assignment here. We are here to love people, serve our communities, proclaim the Gospel and do the will of God in this generation.

What if the fields, farms, ranches, main streets and neighborhoods of Nebraska became places where people encountered a mighty move of God through His people?
This isn’t just a dream. I believe it is the kind of thing God wants us ALL to be part of.

Jesus prayed, “That they all may be one… that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:21

What if the answer to that prayer could be seen in Nebraska? Not one denomination. Not one congregation. Not one ministry. The Body of Christ.

Jesus said, “You shall be witnesses to Me.” Acts 1:8 NKJV. We bear witness not only through what we preach, but through how we live, how we love, forgive, serve, pray and care for one another.

Imagine if the Holy Spirit moved freely in surrendered hearts, the Word of God went forth with power, believers stepped outside the walls of their churches and began see the love and powerful of Jesus transform all aspects of society around them.

Imagine if this became more than something we thought about, talked about or prayed about. Imagine if we became part of the answer to our own prayer.

Maybe the dream is not too big. Maybe it is exactly what God is calling ALL of us to believe for, pray for and live for.
