The Autism Society of Maryland is a nonprofit organization aimed at supporting and advocating for people with autism and their families. Its hiring program addresses a nationwide problem of high unemployment for those with autism.

Rather than placing people with autism in employment, the program facilitates introductions and connections while helping participants build the skills to experience the job search themselves.
