It all started one Friday, when a Morah reminded the Pre-K/K children to clean up after themselves before leaving the Shul …

“Yeah, we wouldn’t want any mice to come into our Shul” said one of the children. “No we wouldn’t, but it would be kind of funny if a mouse WENT to Shul!” Joked Morah. “That would be funny” laughed another child, “we could write a story about that”.

And so, the Pre-K/K class went about discussing and planning the writing of their book titled “A Mouse Went to Shul” They dictated the words for each page, drew illustrations to represent the story, and after organizing the pages, each bound their own copy of the book. They were SO PROUD!

Last week, our Zimmer students were busy preparing for our annual family Supper in the Sukkah! 🌿

Our Pre-K/Kinder students wrote the menu, prepared a giant pot of vegetable soup 🍲 , and collaborated with the 3s class on a beautiful beaded art installation for the sukkah. Also on our menu, a wholesome salad 🥗 prepared by our 3s class, cinnamon applesauce 🍎 by our 2s class & delicious carrot muffins 🧁prepared by the toddler class.

Thank you to Moreh Oliver for started off the evening with a fun & engaging musical sing along! 🎶
