This afternoon we reflected on our accomplishments of this school year.
-Donated eight 55 gallon drums of aluminum cans to the city parks
-shared facts with the school, educating students about recycling and energy conservation
-learned about native plants from a speaker
-participated in the Earth Day Clean up in Basehor
-created videos advertising and educating our school about our initiatives
-planted native seeds and started some raspberry bushes in the schools garden beds
-hosted a booth teaching the community how to create an easy at home greenhouse to start seeds.
- collected and kept 928 lbs of plastic out of the landfill!
We are so close to our goal!! Can we collect 72 lbs by the end of next week??? Bring in your stretchy plastic and fill up our collection bins!
