5th Trunk or Treat at Roots and Wings success!! Great turn out, cutest setups! So great to see all the kids dressed up and to get to squeeze some past students!

We have decided to move the Trunk or Treat inside. The radar is iffy if we would get wet or not, and it will also be a bit chilly for the littler ones. Set up will still start at 3, if you have a table please bring it to set up on, otherwise we do have the tables from the classrooms that we can use.

To come in to trick or treat:
Enter through the front door, go through PreK, 4's, 3's before exiting through the front door. If you want to go through the spooky hall then you will exit via the spooky hall going towards the infant/toddler section of the building.

Calling all trick or treaters!
Roots and Wings Academy is going to have their 5th Annual Trunk or Treat! We will fill our parking lot with decorated trunks full of goodies! Come dressed to impress in your best costume on Saturday, October 25th 4-5:30pm
Open to the public.
If you would like to participate by decorating your trunk, please sign up at the front counter. You would need to decorate your trunk and bring candy to hand out. This year we are also going to vote on the Trunks and give out prizes. We will vote and give out prizes for the top 3 trunks! 1st Prize: ½ off 1 week tuition for 1 child or $100 Gift Card, 2nd Prize: $50 off 1 week or $50 Gift Card, 3rd Prize: $25 Gift Card.
Set up will begin at 3pm, and the gates to block parking lot will close at 3:45pm.

Roots and Wings New Heights 15515 Elm St Basehor, KS (school age program) is having an open house tomorrow 5/23 from 5-7pm. Come check out the new school age building for Basehor and the surrounding areas. I am so excited to show it off! If you know anyone still needing care we still have a few openings.
Also Roots and Wings is hiring for both locations: We are in need of some school age staff and a PreK teacher. Open to full time, part time, and summer only help to join our team!

We are now enrolling for our new School Age Program;
Roots and Wings New Heights

We have been hard at work getting the building ready for our school agers. I am very excited about the concept for the building; each room has a different theme and the children are free to move about the building as they choose. We will have an ART and SCIENCE ROOM, READING AND PUZZLES ROOM, MEDIA ROOM, ACTIVE MOVEMENT ROOM, and a DRAMATIC PLAY ROOM, complete with a little grocery store and little coffee shop! So cute!
We will also have a packed schedule of field trips all summer long, and our center days that the big kids have come to love (Messtivia, Cupcake Wars, and added last year Glow day! and more).

I am so excited to announce that Roots and Wings Academy is expanding! We are opening a school age building. I feel like this is something that the Basehor area needs desperately. I have a wait list of over 20 kiddos for the summer program, and actually stopped adding people to the waitlist in October. My plan is to keep infants through kindergarten (maybe first grade) at the current center. And then the other building will have 2nd-6th grade. The new building is right down the street, right past the high school, 15515 Elm Street Basehor, KS 66007. My plan is to be open by the end of the school year, all geared up and ready for a packed summer program! We are also looking for qualified staff that are ready to have a good time with the school age children. If you are not ready to be on field trips, and be on the go…then no need to apply. Also please bring patience and a sense of humor…the school age is always a fun group, but they will keep you on your toes!

This Saturday from 4:00-5:30 pm
