LONGHORN NATION, welcome our Athletic Director: Katie Curry!

Katie is a Colorado transplant of 5 years who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working in sports and with youth. She comes from California, where she was a Basketball coach for 8 years. Her love and passion for sports knows no bounds and has been lifelong. She understands the impact sports has on anyone who participates, but especially high school students. She is passionate about pushing athletes to be their absolute best while also helping build them into the best versions of themselves as people.

Katie will also be joining the Longhorn family as a teacher. When Katie isn’t working, you can find her going on adventures with her 4 year old dog Baxter, cheering on the Denver Summit, or making memories with her friends.

Katie, quien se mudó desde Colorado hace cinco años, aporta un gran caudal de conocimientos y experiencia en el ámbito deportivo y en el trabajo con jóvenes. Proviene de California, donde ejerció como entrenadora de baloncesto durante ocho años. Su amor y pasión por el deporte son inmensos y la han acompañado toda la vida. Ella comprende el impacto que el deporte tiene en quienes lo practican, especialmente en los estudiantes de secundaria. Le apasiona motivar a los atletas para que alcancen su máximo potencial, ayudándolos al mismo tiempo a convertirse en la mejor versión de sí mismos como personas.

Katie también se integrará a la familia Longhorn como docente. Cuando no está trabajando, suele salir de aventuras con Baxter, su perro de cuatro años, animar al equipo Denver Summit o disfrutar de buenos momentos con sus amigos.

The class of 2030 made their way up to the high school on Tuesday in the annual mile run, ending one chapter and beginning another! We’re so excited to have you with us at BHS in August!!

Just shy of 100 seniors walked across the stage on Saturday, the wind and rain holding off long enough to get through the roughly two-hour ceremony without needing a rain jacket. ⬇️
