Congratulations to our next Focused on Excellence winner: Tara Peterson from Gause Academy!

Tara is an English teacher at Gause.

“What I love most about my job is knowing that I can make a difference,” she said. “It’s a privilege to be there for a student who needs you, and to feel like you’re making an impact in someone’s life.”

This was the sixth year of our Focused on Excellence campaign, which recognizes the hard work and contributions of PCPS employees. Once again, employees were asked to nominate their colleagues from various departments for a chance to receive some great prizes, and be featured on our communication channels.

Tara received an EXCELLENT package of gifts made possible by our sponsors: A.D. We want to congratulate everyone on a great year of growth at Gause Academy, especially Dallas Copeland! Dallas participated in a positive mentorship with Mr. Hendrix and Dr. Blackburn. From planting a seed, to daily watering and care, Dallas successfully grew multiple squash plants and was able to reap the benefits of what he sowed. Today, we celebrate with him and the growth he has shown all year! We wish everyone a happy summer and encourage everyone to keep growing in a positive direction!
