We are in need of certified Daycare workers, Preschool teachers, VPK teachers, Elementary & Middle School Teachers, and Kitchen Staff. It is with sadness we announce that Miss Skylar in our 2 year old class has resigned. We are going to miss her and we wish her well on her new Adventures. School and Daycare Orientation has been Cancelled. Daycare and School begins at regular times on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Please send in shirt and lunch order forms on the first day of school. If your child does not have a FMS school shirt they may wear a solid colored shirt.

Hello FMS Families,

We really miss you and want to thank all of you for being so amazing during these uncertain times. We are pleased at how smoothly the work packet pickup went. All of our families showed just how much they value their child’s education at First Methodist School.

It has been a little over a month since we discontinued all onsite activities at the church and school. We will continue to evaluate and make plans based on Federal, State and Local Health recommendations and the recommendations of the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.

At this time, our school will remain closed through the end of the school year and we do not have an opening date yet for Day Care.

Preschoolers and Graders personal belongings will be gathered, bagged and available for pickup during the Graders completed schoolwork packet return on Friday, May 15 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Our teachers look forward to receiving these packets and checking to see how well their students have applied the skills taught to them this school year. Final Report Cards will be mailed out when they are completed.

Thank you for working with Mrs. Susan and the office to make sure First Methodist School continues to operate smoothly and confidently to finish out this school year and to prepare for a joyful beginning of the 2020-2021 school year in August.

Please continue to follow guidelines, stay healthy and stop the spread of this virus!

After the Governor's address today we will be changing our pick-up time for the packets from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Please come to back of the school on Carpenter Avenue. There will be entrance and exit signs to direct you.
