THANK YOU to everyone who came out this morning for our Walk & Roll to School Event! This includes representatives from the Village of Bartonville, the Bartonville Police Department, Bartonville Fire Department and the Air Guard Fire Department. Walking to school helps stimulate brain activity in the morning, it is good exercise and it is better for the environment.

Hey all! Here are several announcements:
1. To promote healthy and safe practices, tomorrow, October 7, is our 3rd annual Walk & Roll to School Day. For students who are interested, we will form a walking train at BGS starting at 6:30 a.m. that will walk to Dream Hut. Students may also meet us at Dream Hut, to form a walking train, starting at 7:00 am.
2. Due to the Limestone High School Homecoming Parade, on Friday, October 9, students will be dismissed at 1:45. There is also no school this Monday, October 12, for Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
3. Since October is bullying prevention month, we will be having a variety of events and activities. Starting next week, we ask that students wear orange every Wednesday in October.
4. The Bartonville Fire Department is inviting students in grades K-4 to their open house to check out the fire station. It will be held this Sunday, October 11, from 1:00-3:00 pm.
5. Our BGS Board of education currently has an opening. This is an incredibly important position. To be eligible, you must be a registered voter who has lived in our district for at least one year. If you are interested, please email Superintendent Brad Jockisch, at [email protected], or contact the school office.
