At Monroe students are offered many opportunities to participate in music and extend their creative and artistic abilities through music. Students in 5-8th grade can participate in:

Beginning Band
Advanced Band
Additionally, being members of the Advanced Band, they may optionally join in the Jazz Band which meets before school. The Advanced Band also acts as a Pep Band during the year, eng
aging students at basketball and volleyball games as well as pep assemblies. Monroe students are driven for success and constantly encouraged to extend their musical horizons by participating in IMEA, Solo & Ensemble, Honor Bands, Band Camps, and Private Lessons. K-4 students meet for music once a week and present a Grandparents Day program each year in February.
