Federal funding is based on participation, so every meal served helps strengthen and sustain the program for the families who count on it most. The more kids and families who participate, the more welcoming and “normal” the program becomes, helping remove the stigma that can sometimes keep people away. Summer meals are for everyone 18 and under, and every person in line helps make that message louder and clearer.
