We have learned that some of our AVID families may not have received the email with information about our upcoming AVID Scholar Commitment Signing. We want to make sure every AVID family knows they are invited! 💜

This special evening is for our AVID Scholars (all grades) and their families as we kick off a new year of AVID together!

Families will have an opportunity to experience AVID, learn more about what being an AVID Scholar means, and celebrate as our students officially make their commitment for the year.

✨ Students will also receive their AVID Scholar coin during the evening!

If you have an AVID student and did not receive an email about this event, you ARE still invited and we hope you will join us!

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post or tagging another Hawk Hollow AVID family who may not have received the information.

We don't want any of our AVID Scholars to miss this special night. 💜💛

💜 **Wrap Yourself in Hawk Hollow Pride!** 💜

Hawk Hollow families, friends, and community members can support our school while bringing a little Guardian spirit home!

Our Hawk Hollow AVID fundraiser features **two exclusive blanket designs** to choose from. Each cozy **50" × 60" blanket is $30** and makes a great addition to your home, sporting events, or even a gift for your favorite Guardian.

Your purchase is a simple way to support Hawk Hollow while showing that **Guardian pride goes beyond the school walls!**

🚨 Reminder 🚨

📍Hawk Hollow Open House
📆WHEN: Thursday, August 13th
⏰TIME: Building will be open from 1 pm - 7 pm that day for all students

We are opening our doors from 1 pm - 7 pm for all students to stop by to pick up their schedule, walk to their classes, try their hands at opening their lockers, and drop of their supplies. Students are welcome to drop off their supplies and decorate the inside of their lockers while at school.

There is so much to do! Drop in anytime during event hours to:

👟Walk Your Schedule: Find your classrooms and map out your daily route.

🧭Tour the Building: Get familiar with the hallways and common areas.

🔐Try a Lock: Practice opening school lockers so you're a pro on day one.

👩‍🏫Meet some of the Staff: Say hello to your teachers, administrators, and support staff.

✅Get Involved: Learn about our awesome clubs, activities, and parent involvement opportunities.

👚Order Spiritwear: Gear up and show off your Hawk pride!

🚓Connect with the Community: Meet with local community organizations from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

🍧Treat Yourself: Purchase a delicious, icy treat from Kona Ice from 1:00-4:00 p.m.! If you are a frequent flyer, bring your cup!

📌No registration is required—just bring your excitement (and maybe your walking shoes)!

👏 We can't wait to see all of our students and families there.

📌If you are unable to make this fun date, school will be open on the following day and time for your student to come visit Hawk Hollow. Please note, additional support will not be available during these times but your students are welcome to walk their schedules and drop off their supplies in their lockers during this time.

**We're Looking for AVID Tutors!** 🚨

Join the **Hawk Hollow AVID** team as an **AVID Tutor** and make a real difference in the lives of our scholars! This is a perfect role for anyone who has previous AVID experience or who is planning to study education. However, no prior experience is formally required - you will be trained.

📚 **AVID Tutor Opportunities**
🗓️ Monday–Thursday (Flexible)
⏰ 9:00 AM – 3:45 PM

⭐ **Our greatest need is on Tuesdays and Thursdays!**

As an AVID Tutor, you'll work alongside students during collaborative tutorials—guiding them with questions, encouraging critical thinking, and helping them become independent learners. You don't need to know every answer; you just need to enjoy supporting students as they discover them.

National Night Out – Tuesday, August 4

Join us at Bartlett's National Night Out for an evening of fun, community, and family activities!

Be sure to stop by the dunk tank between 5:30–6:30 p.m., where Mr. Heine and I will be taking our turns in the hot seat. Think you have what it takes to dunk your principal or assistant principal?

🏀 Special Challenge for Hawk Hollow Students: Any Hawk Hollow Middle School student who successfully dunks one of us will receive a special Guardian prize!

We can't wait to see who has the best aim! 🎯

A huge congratulations to our Hawk Hollow Guardians Girls Soccer Team on an incredible championship win! Your hard work, determination, teamwork, and heart were on full display all season long, and you represented Hawk Hollow with pride every step of the way. 💜🩵

We are SO proud of each and every player, Coach Ford, and supporter who helped make this season unforgettable. Way to bring home the championship, ladies!
