Children First is open today, Wednesday, February 4, 2026. We plan to be open the remainder of this week from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We wish everyone safe travels and we look forward to continuing warmer weather.

Children First will be open Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Many of our teachers are still experiencing questionable conditions on driveways and side roads. However, we are doing our very best to open at 6:30 for families who need care in the early hours of the morning. Be safe. We looking forward to see you tomorrow!

Children First will be open at 8:00 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026. Please be mindful of the following: 1) The parking lot has been plowed and salted. We are hoping that it is safe for all parents, children, and employees. 2) We will open with fewer teachers than normal due to the continued questionable conditions of driveways and side roads. 3) Your child’s teachers may or may not be able to travel to work safely. 4) We are opening later than usual to hopefully provide safer conditions for those who do travel. 5) Lastly, we will not serve breakfast, but will be able to serve lunch and afternoon snack. Thank you for your understanding of these unpredictable circumstances under which we are attempting to operate. Warmer temperatures are near!

Following our inclement weather policy, Children First will be closed Friday, January 30, 2026. We look forward to seeing our Children First families very soon!

Children First will be closed Thursday, January 29 due to the winter weather conditions in the greater Memphis area. We hope that our Children First family is safe and warm!

Children First will be closed Wednesday, January 27. The University of Memphis has canceled in person classes on campus. Also, due to the conditions of driveways and side roads, most of our teachers have indicated that the are unable to travel at this time. Stay warm for another day. We hope to see you soon!

Children First will be closed Tuesday, January 27, following our inclement weather policy. We hope that all of you have electricity, and are warm and safe during this extremely cold weather.
