Update: The $25 PER student laptop insurance fee has been populated in School Cash Online and can be paid at anytime between now and 9/1!

If students turned in the laptop for the summer, they will be able to pick it up on B-Ready day AS LONG AS the Laptop Permission form IS COMPLETED. Insurance will be due by 9/1. Please read all of the information on the site below as some information may be different from past years!! New students will receive laptops in August.

Rising 9th graders that turned in their laptop at the end of last school year, can pick up their device at B-Ready Day as long as the 1:1 Device Form (below) AND REGISTRATION have been completed!

With tax free weekend coming up, I wanted to share a very generic list with you all! Once students are in high school, there are 5 to 6 teachers per content area. This makes a school supply list challenging! Here is a list of generic items that won’t go to waste! More specific lists will be shared at B-Ready Day and the 1st Day of School. If you know your student will take upper level math courses, a TI-84+ graphing calculator will come in handy but we have one on campus for every student to use in class!

We cannot wait to meet the class of 2027 at B Ready Day!!

Congratulations to the Spanish students who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2023 National Spanish Examinations.

“Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” according to Lisa Greenman, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 85,000 students participating in 2023.”

The National Spanish Examination (NSE) is a motivational contest to recognize student achievement and proficiency in the study of Spanish. At the National level, students are able to receive medal placement (gold, silver, bronze, honorable mention) based on their scores and are eligible to apply for several types of scholarships (Global Citizen Scholarship, Junior Study Abroad Program, Senior Scholarship).

We are so proud of Coach Oliver but we will sure miss him here at The Academy!

We are up to 65% of students that have completed the laptop collection form! BUT 441 students are turning in their laptop due to missing school registration and/or not having completed the laptop form.

Students that are eligible to keep their laptop received a green ticket today. If they did not receive a ticket, they still have requirement(s) that must be completed.

We are up to 49% completion! Almost halfway there to pajama pants Tuesday - Friday of next week!

Letters went home today for those students that have not completed their school registration and/or laptop collection form. Parents, please help us in getting both of these completed! Only 218 students are eligible to take theirs home for the summer due to missing registration.

If students have 100% laptop completion by Monday, they can wear pajama pants the rest of the week! We are at 33% as of now!

BUT only 172 students can actually take their laptops home because they are missing their school registration. If you are missing registration, you will not be able to keep your laptop. If you have any questions about registration, please reach out to Ms. James.
